Providence also offers 64 beds with telemetry cardiac monitoring, on Six North, Six East, Ten North and Ten East. With telemetry monitoring, a radio transmitter sends information about the patient’s heart to a central monitoring station, allowing the patient to move about the room or nursing station while his or her cardiac status is tracked. Normal hospital visiting hours apply in the telemetry units.
