Providence Medical Group Welcomes Occupational Medicine Physician to Tillman’s Corner

Dr. Michaels will see patients Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Dr. Michaels comes to Providence from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., where he served as Chief of the Department of Public Health. He earned a master’s in public health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama Medical College. Dr. Michaels completed a transitional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas; a residency in public health and preventive medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington; and a fellowship in occupational and environmental medicine at the National Regional Consortium Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine and preventive medicine. His special interests include patient teaching to provide enhanced employee wellness and injury prevention in the workplace.
