Providence Hospital Hosts Annual Baby Rest Memorial Service Oct. 16

MOBILE (Oct. 6, 2016) – Providence Hospital will host the annual Baby Rest Memorial Service on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home (8691 Old Pascagoula Rd., Theodore 36582.) Registration begins at 1:30 p.m.
The memorial service is open to all families, loved ones and caregivers who have suffered the loss of an infant before, during or after birth. During the service, each baby’s name will be read and family members will light a candle of remembrance. Music and refreshments will be included.
The event is held in collaboration with other Mobile area hospitals and Serenity Funeral Home. It coincides with National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The day is observed with remembrance ceremonies and candle-lighting vigils. The RSA Battle House Tower in downtown Mobile will be lit in lavender in memory of the babies.
